Rockstars

Okay so pretty much everywhere except for the US soccer players are considered to be rockstars, it's totally awesome. These guys have crazy skills and it's sometimes unreal to watch them play. This nike commercial has been on throughout the Euro cup and it's the coolest thing I've ever seen, it's a little long (2 mins) but soo worth it!

Dad's day

So my dad is retiring and Friday will be his last official work day at school. It was so cool to have my dad there at my high school, and my friends always loved his class, including Justin. With father's day and his retirement around the same time, I gave my dad this framed layout I made for him featuring some old pictures of my dad. They're from his mission application, his mission in Germany, a dance at my mom's high school, his early years as a teacher, and a picture of him and my mom after they had been married a while (it's now been 37 years). So I'm not a scrapbook extraordinaire, but I really wanted to show these cool pics of my dad, since I love seeing old pictures -not that my dad's old or anything, but they're not exactly recent!

Baking with Brody

So Brody LOVES to play in the kitchen! However, a couple posts back I mentioned he burned his hands on the oven, so obviously we've become a little more wary of his kitchen time (nice to know it took a trauma). He recently discovered the second drawer up filled with some Brody safe tools (except for the dough hook, but I've since moved it), so now he plays in there all he can. I hoping this means he'll grow up to be a wonderful chef who will cook lots of tasty dinners for me. Doubtful, but we'll see.

out of commision

This week I haven't blogged, or commented on anything, and I have a perfectly good excuse: Euro cup 2008. Two games every morning (and not as early as world cup games) make it quite hard to get going as usual. It's only the first round, so this could take a while. Live it up on espn 2.
